About Lesson
All workspaces have a general channel, to which all members are automatically added, but apart from this channel, you can create different channels which can be divided into three types:
- Open channels: These channels are open for anyone in your company to join or find in search. It increases transparency while allowing everyone to benefit from the context of the conversations.
- Closed channels: For sensitive or confidential conversations, you can use private channels. Only guests can view the channel or find its content in search.
- Slack Connect: Work with multiple organisations in one channel. Speed up communication with customers, suppliers, agencies and more. You can use this type of channel to invite external people to your workspace to connect organisations, but don’t worry! People outside your workspace will still not be able to access the rest of the channels you have created, ensuring their privacy and confidentiality.
