As you know, in the mobilities within the Erasmus + Programme, the methodology of non-formal education is used, in which you can find different figures that will be present throughout the development of different mobilities.

Group Leaders.

They are people over 18 years old, representatives of the participating organisations, who are key elements in the realisation of the Youth Exchange. Their functions include:

• Acting as a communication link between participants and organisations.
• Facilitating/organising activities in some cases.
• Guiding the reflection processes in national groups.

Facilitators.

They are people, usually belonging to the host organisation, who serve to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge by the participants in a mobility. For this purpose, they propose and guide participants through different activities that offer them a space where they can experiment and learn while being aware of their own learning process. Facilitators must be trained in group management and have some knowledge in the topic to be addressed in each mobility, but they do not need to be professionals in this field, so they learn together with the participants.
There should be a maximum of 2 facilitators per activity.

Trainers.
They have the same role in mobilities as facilitators, except that they must be professionals in the field to be addressed and can be recruited externally by the coordinating organisation.

The last important part to distinguish these three figures is:

• Group Leaders and Facilitators are figures present in the so-called Youth Exchange;
• Trainers are the figures present in the Training Courses.
