Effective communication is key to successful collaboration. Monday.com offers various tools to help you communicate with your team directly within the platform. Here’s how to use these tools:

Comments:
- You can leave comments on tasks to provide updates, ask questions, or give feedback.
- Click on a task to open its details, then scroll down to the comments section.
- Type your message in the comment box and click ‘Post’ to share it with your team. Team members assigned to the task will be notified of your comment.

Mentions:
- Use ‘@’ mentions to directly address team members in your comments.
- Type ‘@’ followed by the team member’s name to tag them. This ensures they receive a notification about your comment.

Updates:
- The ‘Updates’ section on each task allows for ongoing conversations and status updates.
- Use this section to keep everyone informed about the progress of a task, share important information, or document decisions.

Team Communication Board:
- Create a dedicated communication board to facilitate broader discussions that are not tied to specific tasks.
- Use this board for announcements, brainstorming sessions, and general team discussions.

File Sharing:
- Attach files to tasks or comments to provide additional context or resources.
- Click the ‘Attach File’ button in the task details or comments section to upload files from your computer or cloud storage services.
