Welcome to the lesson about how to publish articles.
We want MYNGO to be an inspiring space which connects organisations and promotes their activities. It is possible to publish articles and calls to participate in your activities, share results of your projects or inspiring initiatives by others. The main features of the articles, or posts are the following:
-
Post Editor: offers a user-friendly post editor where you can create and format your articles. It provides a visual editor similar to a word processor, allowing you to easily add and format text, images, videos, and other media elements.
-
Categories and Tags: You can organise your articles into categories and assign relevant tags. Categories are broad topics or sections that help with content organisation, while tags are specific keywords or descriptors that provide more granular categorisation.
-
Post Formats: supports various post formats, such as standard, gallery, video, audio, quote, and more. Each format has a specific layout and styling, allowing you to present your content in different ways.
-
Featured Images: You can set a featured image for each article, which represents the main visual element associated with the post. The featured image is often displayed in post listings, archives, and on social media when sharing the article.
-
Excerpts: Excerpts provide a summary or preview of your article. They can be displayed on post listings or archive pages, allowing readers to get a glimpse of the content before clicking to read the full article.
-
Publication Status and Scheduling: WordPress allows you to set the publication status of your articles, such as “Draft,” “Pending Review,” or “Published.” Additionally, you can schedule articles to be published automatically at a specific date and time in the future.
-
Revisions and Drafts: keeps track of revisions made to your articles, allowing you to view and restore previous versions if needed. You can also save articles as drafts to work on them over time before publishing.
-
Comments and Discussion: Readers can leave comments on your articles, facilitating interaction and engagement. You can enable or disable comments globally or on a per-post basis, and also moderate and reply to comments.
In this tutorial we will see how organisations can upload new content to their feed. The organisations will be able to publish news, calls for project, dissemination results and more. All these content will be available to all their members.
MATERIALS: In the “exercise file” section you can find a textbook with all the information that our trainer explained in the video tutorial. You can download it and keep it with you as future reference.
The next steps after this last video tutorial will be a quiz before the Zoom Live session.
QUIZ: The quiz has the purpose to test your understanding of the MyNGO website and its functionalities.
Enjoy the last video tutorial and get ready for the quiz!
