Assigning tasks to team members ensures clarity and accountability in your projects. Here’s how to assign tasks in Monday.com:

Open Your Board:
- Navigate to the board where you want to assign tasks.

Select a Task:
- Click on the task you want to assign to open its details.

Assign a Team Member:
- In the task details, find the ‘People’ column.
- Click on the ‘+’ icon in the ‘People’ column and select the team member you want to assign the task to from the dropdown list. You can also search for their name if the list is long.
- The selected team member will now appear in the ‘People’ column, indicating that the task is assigned to them.

Set Due Dates and Priorities:
- In addition to assigning tasks, you can set due dates and priorities to ensure tasks are completed on time and in the right order.
- Click on the ‘Due Date’ column to set a deadline and use the ‘Priority’ column to indicate the importance of the task.

Notify Assignees:
- Monday.com automatically notifies team members when a task is assigned to them. They will receive an email and a notification within the platform.
By assigning tasks clearly, you ensure that everyone knows their responsibilities and deadlines, which helps in maintaining project efficiency and accountability.
