Final Evaluation of NGO 2.0: A Transformative Digital Journey

In June 2024, the city of Tallinn, Estonia, played host to the final evaluation of the NGO 2.0 project. This meeting, hosted by Dynamic Learning, marked the culmination of a collaborative effort spanning over 30 months. The NGO 2.0 project, supported by the Erasmus Plus programme, brought together Asociación Brújula Intercultural (Spain), Associazione Kora (Italy), Dynamic Learning (Estonia), and Regionalne Centrum Wolontariatu (Poland) to address the digital development needs of youth associations and to innovate non-formal education through digital tools.

Meeting Highlights: Reflecting on Success and Planning the Future

The final evaluation meeting focused on key aspects of the project’s outcomes and future impact. The meeting agenda included:

  • Final Review: A comprehensive assessment of the project’s final output, including the planning of cross-tests and evaluations to ensure sustainability and effectiveness.
  • Public Release Planning: Strategic planning for the release of four virtual courses developed during the project, which cover essential themes such as youth leadership, volunteer mentoring, project writing and intercultural learning.
  • Administrative Verification: A detailed verification of paperwork, ensuring all formalities were in order as the project approaches its conclusion.
  • Dissemination Events: Planning for the final dissemination events in countries that have yet to host them and reviewing documentation from events already held.
  • Future Trainings: Strategic discussions on two upcoming virtual trainings for digital youth workers, set to take place in the following year.
  • General Evaluation: A thorough review of the project’s overall progress, the tasks ahead, and partner involvement.

A Celebration of Achievement

The Tallinn meeting wasn’t just about planning and review—it was also a celebration of the incredible journey that NGO 2.0 has been. Over 30 months, the project has not only introduced a range of innovative digital tools but has also established a robust platform for creating online learning courses, fostering effective communication, and enhancing collaboration among European youth organizations.

The project has significantly improved the digital capabilities of all involved, showcasing the power of digital platforms in non-formal education. The flexibility and innovation demonstrated throughout the project have set a new standard for digital collaboration in the youth sector.

Looking Ahead: The Multiplier Events

As we approach the final phase, attention turns to the upcoming multiplier events, which will be held in each of the participating countries. These events will introduce the MYNGO platform—the project’s main result—to a broader audience. MYNGO is more than just a platform; it is a testament to the power of international cooperation and digital innovation in the non-profit sector.

The NGO 2.0 project has been a transformative experience, opening new horizons and enhancing our digital capabilities. It has strengthened the bonds between organizations across Europe and equipped us with the tools needed to navigate the digital landscape effectively. As we prepare for the final dissemination of results and the continuation of training efforts, the lessons learned and the connections made during this project will continue to inspire and guide our future initiatives.
